
Yamaha has released two new mini audio systems that support iPhones and iPods namely the MCR-140 and MCR-040. The Yamaha MCR-140 is able to playback music from an iPod wirelessly via Yamaha’s proprietary yAired standard. Meanwhile, the Yamaha MCR-040 doesn’t have this wireless feature. Available in orange, dark blue, light blue, white, red, dark green, brown, light gray, dark gray and pink, both mini audio systems feature a CD player, a front panel USB port, an FM radio, auxiliary audio jack inputs, and two 4-inch detachable drivers rated at 15W each. In addition, the Yamaha MCR-140 also supports an optional wireless subwoofer kit that provides better bass reproduction. Yamaha today introduced their latest PDX-60 wireless dock and speaker system for the iPhone and iPod. The gadget adopts the yAired wireless technology allowing users to stream uncompressed audio content to the included Yamaha digital amplifier from an iPhone or iPod by using a Dock Connector based accessory that attaches to the bottom of the device. Each purchase also comes equipped with the yAired cradle that allows you to recharge your device while listening to it. Available in black, blue, gray and pink, the Yamaha PDX-60 retails for $299.95. The Yamaha TSX-W80 is an AM/FM radio clock that comes jam packed with a 2.1 speaker system and the cool iPod/ iPhone Yamaha AirWired cradle allowing you to stream wirelessly your favorite music files from your iPod/ iPhone to the Yamaha TSX-W80. The company has also announced the new TSX-70 radio alarm clock that has a 2.1 speaker system and an iPod/ iPhone docking station. Unfortunately, there is no info on pricing or availability so far. Yamaha’s latest CD-S300 CD player comes equipped with a 24bit/192kHz DAC supporting CD-R/RW and MP3 and WMA audio files. What makes this CD player special is that it is also iPod-friendly thanks to its USB port. The CD-S300 will be available in Japan by the end of September this year for around 43,000 Yen ($458). The Yamaha MCS-1330 Audio Systems come equipped with an iPod dock and features two 60W RMS power outputs, an amplifier, a CD player, 2.5cm tweeters and 13cm woofer. There is also a USB port to connect with other portable devices. Yamaha also releases another audio systems in the form of the MCR-330, MCR-230, and the CRX-430. Both MCR-330 and MCR-230 feature the same specifications including 2 x 20W RMS power outputs, the CD player, USB and iPod ports. Meanwhile, the CRX-430 provides two 25W RMS power outputs. Yamaha Japan today introduced two new wooden iPod docks in the form of the TSX-120 and TSX-130. These iPod docking stations feature a soft wooden finish which gives a classy look. Both iPod docks come with the same specs including amplifier output of 15W × 2channels, 2 x 8cm speakers, frequency response of 60Hz ~ 20kHz, FM tuner and remote control. The Yamaha TSX-130 (pictured above) comes equipped with USB connectors and a CD-drive which supports playback and recording. Yamaha has decided to release these iPod docks in Japan in early December.
