Sony has released an update version of its B-series walkman with the introduction of Zappin. This new portable music player is equipped with a three-line LCD display, a new Zap button that allows users find tracks by listening to five-second samples, a 2GB of storage, an FM tuner, a voice recorder and up to 18 hours of playback time. The player comes in four different lovely colors including black, red, orange and pink, and will be available in Japan starting July 10th for the equivalent of $49. [Electronista]
Sony is ready to release a new MP3 player from its Walkman W series for the Japanese market on June 13th, 2009. The Walkman W202 comes equipped with a jog wheel and a new “Zappin” song-browsing technology. The gadget will be available in black, pink, lime green and white. Its battery provides up to 12 hours of operation time. Weighing at only 35grams, the Sony Walkman W202 wearable MP3 player will retail for 10,000 Yen ($104). [AVING]
Sony’s NWZ-X1050 MP3 player boasts digital noise canceling technology and WiFi support. The gadget has a 3-inch OLED touchscreen display and Sony Digital Clear Audio Technology that will fill in the high tones which can be lost during file compression, enhance bass, minimize distortion. The Sony X-series OLED walkman is now listed in the Amazon.com, which includes the price tag, however an estimated release date remains unknown at the moment. The 32GB version is priced at $399, meanwhile the 16GB version sells for $299.
