Samsung has finally rolled out their latest portable media player in South Korea. Dubbed as the Samsung R0, this PMP provides a 2.6-inch TFT LCD display, a microSD memory card slot, an integrated FM radio, and a text/photo viewer. Available in Indie Black, Techno Silver and Rap Pink, the gadget supports most of famous multimedia file formats. The 4GB and 8GB models are priced at $120 and $155, respectively. [Press Release]
Samsung has entered the Chinese PMP market by releasing the YP-CM3. It is actually the Samsung’s first PMP with CMMB (Chinese mobile TV) support. The media player has a 3-inch display screen and supports multiple video codecs including MP4, AVI and SVI. No word yet on pricing. [IMP3]
Samsung Korea will release the YP-M1 Touchscreen PMP in the near future. The gadget boasts a 3.3-inch wide AMOLED touchscreen with an nVidia Tegra chipset for HD video playback, Samsung’s DNSe 3.0 technology, T-DMB, an FM radio, a dictionary function and a stereo speaker. Available in black and white, the media player also compatible with most of famous multimedia formats including MPEG4, XviD, H.264, MP3, and WMV. The 8GB model will retail for 299,000 Won ($252). The upcoming Samsung M1 portable media player adopts an nVidia Tegra ultra low-power High Definition (HD) mobile processor that produces 720p HD video playback on its Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting (AMOLED) display. The player also supports wireless mobile games in amazing 2D/3D graphics, an advanced audio functionality, and a Flash-based 3D user interface. The player is compatible with most of multimedia file formats including MP3, WMA, OGG, ASF, AAC, M4A and FLAC audio files as well as WMV, ASF, H.264, MPEG4, DivX, XviD and SWF video files.
