Gemei’s HD8800 HD Portable Media Player has been released in the Chinese market. The 8GB model is priced at 699 Yuan or around $101. The player supports RVMB, AVI, FLV and MKV files in 1080p resolution. You can also connect the Gemei HD8800 to your HDTV via HDMI port. [MP4Nation]
Dutch electronics manufacturer Philips will release their new Philips SA075 HD PMP in the most populated country in the world. The gadget comes equipped with an HDMI output, a 24 bit 16-million-color touchscreen (800 x 480 pixels), and supports 720p videos. Pricing and availability info are still unknown. [IMP3]
Philips’ new Xenium K700 is actually a Portable Media Player and cell phone combo. The gadget has a 2.9-inch TFT touchscreen display with a 3.2MP camera, a 40 MB internal memory, a microSD slot(up to 8GB), Bluetooth, USB, a radio with RDS, a 3.5 mm audio jack and supports DivX, FLV, AVI, and MP3 file formats. The Philips Xenium K700 also provides up to 4-hours of video playback and 25-hours of audio playback. No word on pricing or availability so far. [Le Journal du Geek]
Samsung Korea will release the YP-M1 Touchscreen PMP in the near future. The gadget boasts a 3.3-inch wide AMOLED touchscreen with an nVidia Tegra chipset for HD video playback, Samsung’s DNSe 3.0 technology, T-DMB, an FM radio, a dictionary function and a stereo speaker. Available in black and white, the media player also compatible with most of famous multimedia formats including MPEG4, XviD, H.264, MP3, and WMV. The 8GB model will retail for 299,000 Won ($252). Samsung will also release a 16GB and a 32GB models in the near future. [Korea Times]
The Teclast T58 is a new Android-based Portable Media Player that will be released very soon. Based on Rockchip’s RK2808 chipset, the player has a 1280 x 720p touchscreen display and is compatible with H.264, RMVB, MPEG-4, AVS, WMV9 video formats. The T58 also supports web surfing thanks to its WiFi connectivity. Word has it that the upcoming Teclast T58 will be priced at around $147. The Newsmy A16HD+ is another HD PMP from China that boasts 720p video recording via its AV-IN function. The player is powered by Windows CE 5.0 OS with a 5-inch 800×400 screen, and an ARM 11 CPU. The Newsmy A16HD+ HD PMP supports RM/RMVB, AVI, FLV, MP4, VOB, MOV, 3GP, MPG, DAT or MKV videos that can be displayed on a bigger screen via the HDMI port. In addition, the gadget is also compatible with MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV APE and FLAC lossless audio files. The 16GB Newsmy A16HD+ HD PMP is priced at $150. [Newsmy]
