
Samsung has finally rolled out their latest portable media player in South Korea. Dubbed as the Samsung R0, this PMP provides a 2.6-inch TFT LCD display, a microSD memory card slot, an integrated FM radio, and a text/photo viewer. Available in Indie Black, Techno Silver and Rap Pink, the gadget supports most of famous multimedia file formats. The 4GB and 8GB models are priced at $120 and $155, respectively. [Press Release]

Chinese company Newman is back with another one of its HD-capable portable media player known as the Newsmy A36HD. Measuring only 8mm thick, this slim player comes with rather interesting specs, it sports a 3-inch 400 x 240 LCD screen, an optional 4GB or 8GB of internal memory, built-in speakers, a USB 2.0 port, a TV-out, a 3.5mm headphone jack and supports most audio and video formats including MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC, RM, RMVB, AVI, FLV as well as HD video playback (1280 x 720). Sony has confirmed the availability of its Sony S740 PMP in the Asian Pacific region. Available only in black, the Asian Pacific version of S740 features a 2.0-inch LCD display and supports noise canceling technology, Sony’s Trademarked Clear bass, Clear Stereo, and DSEE sound technologies. The gadget is currently available in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB of storage capacities. Other features include an FM tuner and a TV out. The ONDA VX510 mini-PMP is a 2.4-inch Portable Media Player that comes jam packed with a touch-sensitive media controls. There is no further info about this gadget.
