Yamaha MCR-140 And MCR-040 Mini Audio Systems

Yamaha has released two new mini audio systems that support iPhones and iPods namely the MCR-140 and MCR-040. The Yamaha MCR-140 is able to playback music from an iPod wirelessly via Yamaha’s proprietary yAired standard. Meanwhile, the Yamaha MCR-040 doesn’t have this wireless feature. Available in orange, dark blue, light blue, white, red, dark green, brown, light gray, dark gray and pink, both mini audio systems feature a CD player, a front panel USB port, an FM radio, auxiliary audio jack inputs, and two 4-inch detachable drivers rated at 15W each. In addition, the Yamaha MCR-140 also supports an optional wireless subwoofer kit that provides better bass reproduction. Sonos has rolled out the ZonePlayer S5 all-in-one wireless music system that has the ability to stream an iTunes library from any computer connected to the network or from a Network Attached Storage device. The music player comes with five internal speakers that consists of two tweeters, two 3-inch mid-range drivers, and one 3.5-inch dedicated subwoofer. The Sonos ZonePlayer S5 also provides integration with Internet music services like Napster, Rhapsody, Pandora, and Last.fm. Additional features include an auxiliary input, complete compatibility with the company’s free Sonos Controller app for the iPhone and iPod touch, five Class-D digital amplifiers, and more. iRiver has finally released the iRiver N20 pendant MP3 player for the mass market. The player boasts a 120 x 56 PMOLED (passive matrix OLED) screen with four lines of data, which is enough to display text and simple icons.
