Creative has come out with their brand new iPod dock called the XDockHD. It connects to your home theater system via HDMI, component or composite depending on analog / optical outputs for audio. It also outputs an HD interface, comes with a remote and distributes music throughout your home to X-Fi Wireless receivers up to 100 feet away without a pc. Sounds like the ultimate iPod dock, look for this dock late Spring if you like what you see.
Creative Japan is releasing their Zen 32GB version for about $366 with all the basics such as a 2.5 QVGA LCD, support MP3/WMA/AAC/WAV, WMV/MPEG-SP/DivX/XviD/Motion-JPEG, and JPEG, has a SD card slot (SDHC), and FM tuner. It should be available mid December.
Creative’s Travelsound i50 is a cool portable speaker for the 2G iPod Shuffle. The speaker comes in a brushed metal finish and features a built in lithium polymer rechargeable battery which lasts for 15hours of continuous playback. The battery can be recharged via the built in USB mini port. Its digital amplifier produces 700mW×2ch output with signal to noise ratio of 80dB. The Travelsound i50 measures 128mm × 47mm × 15mm and weighs 85grams and is available in Japan only for around $69.
The X-Fi Sound System i600 comes equipped with two 35 watt Speakers, one 130 watt subwoofer, and a iPod dock. The system also offers Creative’s X-Fi technology that promises to improve lost sound quality from compressed audio files. No word on pricing yet.
