Here is a new speaker system from Boston Acoustics. Dubbed as the Horizon i-DS3, the speaker system provides 100 watts of stereo sound and can recharge your iPod or iPhone battery at the same time. The gadget also offers a 2.4GHz wireless subwoofer that features a downward firing enclosure design with a frequency response of 35Hz-150Hz. Other features include S-video, composite video output and auxiliary input. You can purchase the Horizon i-DS3 when it is released in March. No info on pricing at this time. [pocket-lint]

Boston Acoustics has rolled out its new iPod dock. Dubbed as the iDS2, the iPod dock boasts dual 3.5 inch speakers, 60-watt amplifier, Composite video output, USB and audio inputs, Infrared remote control, and user-customizable colored metal front grill. However, I think this new iPod docking station is too expensive. Priced at $180, the device doesn’t have LCD screen, clock radio, and bass/treble controls. [iLounge]

Boston Acoustics will release a iPod boombox. It comes with an AM / FM Stereo radio with iPod dock, a pair of 3.5-inch full-range drivers, BassTrac low-frequency processing, twin auxiliary ports, and an awesome display that adjusts to ambient light. Along with alarm clocks, a “touch” sensitive snooze bar and a wireless remote for a decent price of $199.99. [Tech Digest]
