The Ainol Alphatrion PMP was inspired by the Transformers movie. For your info, the Alpha Trion is the name of several fictional characters in the various Transformers universes. All versions of Alpha Trion are depicted as ancient mechanoids with a link to Optimus Prime. The Ainol Alphatrion is also known as the Ainol V6000HDV. It is a 4.3-inch PMP with a 800 × 480 resolution LTPS display and supports 720p video (MKV files). Sadly, there is no word on pricing or availability so far. [mp4nation]
The Ainol V8000HD PMP will be released in three versions in the form of the V8000HDG (Jetfire) with a 5-inch 800×480 touchscreen, the V8000HDB (Defcon) with a 4.3-inch 480×272 display, and the V8000HDA (Metorplex) that receives a 4.3-inch 800×480 touchscreen display. These media players support H.264 (MPEG4-AVC) decoding and plays MKV, MOV, PMP, MP4 video files. Other features include an HDMI output and a USB connectivity. [itechnews]
Here is another Chinese PMP. The Ainol V3000 is a low priced PMP which retails for $102. The gadget features a 4GB of storage capacity, a 4.3-inch 800 x 480 resolution display, FM tuner, TV output and a built-in rechargeable battery. [zol]
