ModYFire has introduced its new iWear case for the 1st and 2nd generation Apple iPod nano. Designed by Peter Zsolt Koren, the case can be used with clothing up to 1mm thick, and it was the winner of the first Hungarian Apple iPod casing design competition. The iWear is now available for $28.

The iRosary is a conceptual design by Tino Dobra that connects the Apple iPod to headphones via a cross rosary. The position of the bead can be measured and heard as audio beads on a sensitive range of the cable. Unfortunately, the iRosary is just a concept.

The most important distinguishing feature of the iPod, the white earphones cable, becomes a string of beads on which only one bead is now found. This bead can be shifted. Pioneer comes back with an impressive range of Elite A/V receivers that feature iPod connectivity. The Pioneer Elite VSX-90TXV, VSX-91TXH, VSX-92TXH and VSX-94TXH receivers are capable of controlling the music and videos on the Apple iPod via the (optional) Pioneer IDK-80 universal iPod docking station. The device also features HDMI and component connectivity, THX Select II certification, and Dolby Digital EX decoding to enhance its value. The Pioneer IDK-80 allows you to watch your iPod photos and videos on TV. The Pioneer 90TXV and Pioneer 91TXH will be out in June for $650 and $1000 respectively, while the Pioneer 92TXH and Pioneer 94TXH will hit stores in August and retail for $1300 and $1600. The Pioneer IDK-80 universal iPod docking station is priced at $100.

Elecom Japan has announced the AVD-CHLA5BK and AVD-CHLANN2BK iPod stands for car. The AVD-CHLA5BK is compatible with with iPod Video and iPod Mini, while the AVD-CHLANN2BK works with iPod Nano. The Elecom iPod stands will go on sale in Japan by end of May for approx. $20 (after conversion).

Memorex introduced the Mi1111 iPod speaker system. This 2.1 tabletop system provides a built-in iPod docking station, top-loading CD player, digital radio, audio line-in, and advanced wireless remote. The Mi1111 is expected to be available in June.
