iPhone Firmware Update v1.0.1 is now available through iTunes. Apple simply describes the update as containing “bug fixes”, and does not indicate any additional functionality at this time. The upgrade also closes the big Safari security breach discovered earlier this month, which allowed malicious pages to take total control of your iPhone.

Grantwood Technology today announced the release of the Shoe Pouch for Nike+iPod Sport Kit. Available in black, red, hot pink, neon green, teal blue, navy blue, purple, and gray, the Shoe Pouch is a waterproof bag made of neoprene that you place the sensor inside and attach to your shoe via its shoe laces. The gadget allows runners and walkers to use the sensor from the Nike+iPod Sport Kit without having to purchase special Nike+ shoes. The design provides reinforced loops, high-quality neoprene and stitching, and a Velcro strip covering the slit where the sensor is inserted. The Shoe Pouch is priced at US$7.99 each.

The iMultiMix 9R is a rack mixer with built-in iPod dock. It features a pretty standard seven-channel rack mixer: five mic preamps with phantom power, two line inputs (one switchable from the iPod dock to the external input), three band EQ with bandpass controls, and an effects loop. The mixer also offers a composite video output, which will allow videos to be played right from connected video iPods. The Alesis iMultiMix 9R will be available in late 2007 for $399.
