Reigncom has rolled out its iRiver Wave PMP WiFi phone in Korea. It is a portable media player that is able to make phone calls via voice over IP (VOIP). Measuring 110.5mm x 52.5mm x 15.5mm and weighing at 103grams, this PMP and VOIP phone hybrid also features a 480 x 272 pixels touchscreen display, and USB port. [Electronista]

Energy Sistem today released the 4040 Touch portable media player. Priced at €120, the gadget features a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, a huge 16GB of storage with a microSD card slot for expansion, a built-in microphone, an FM tuner, and supports most of famous audio and video file formats. The company also releases the 5020 and 5021 models, which drop the touchscreen and cut the storage down to 4GB. These PMPs are priced at around €85. [EnergySystem]

After iRiver has sold 1 million of its E100 DAP, The Korean manufacturer released the next generation of E100, The E100 Season 2.  Actually nothing different from the previous generation except its color, for now you can choose three different color with orange, silver and white. iRiver offers you this product in 2, 4 and 8GB capacity. Cowon will release its S9 Curve Portable Media Player in the U.S. market in mid-December 2008. Sadly, there is no info on pricing for this gadget. The S9 will be available in 8GB / 16GB versions and features a 3.3-inch LCD display, 480 x 272 pixel AMOLED display and Bluetooth connectivity. Stay tuned for more updates. [AVING]
