Apple Launches MobileMe Gallery App For iPod Touch

Apple has finally released its new MobileMe Gallery application for the iPhone and iPod touch. This application allows MobileMe users to access all their galleries, including those that are password protected or hidden albums, view friends’ gallery photos and movies, access previously view photos when offline, share links to albums directly from the iPhone, and also supports flick and pinch-to-zoom gestures. MobileMe Gallery requires a MobileMe account and iPhone OS 3.1 or later, and is available as a free download from the App Store. [iLounge]

Apple Confirmed iPod Touch 3G And iPod Nano With Camera

Apple has finally confirmed the new 64GB iPod Touch, which will be 50% faster than the current model and will have the ability to run Open GL ES 2.0. Apple provides more than 75,000 applications on the App Store that you can wirelessly download right into your iPod touch. Apple also highlighted a number of high-profile upcoming releases, including Assassin’s Creed 2 (a sidescroller from Ubisoft), Riddim Ribbon (a rhythm game from Tapulous), Nova (a first-person shooter from Gameloft), and Madden NFL 2010 from Electronic Arts. The new iPod touch 3G features a 3.5-inch widescreen display with a Multitouch user interface, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a built-in accelerometer and a speaker. The 8GB, 32GB and 64GB models retail for $199, $299 and $399, respectively. Apple has also announced the availability of the new iPod Nano with a built-in camera.
