Want to see what the next iPhone 4G looks like? Then check out the review below as Gizmodo managed to get their hands on the mystery device. As reported, the device was lost by Apple Software Engineer, Gray Powell, who apparently left the iPhone in a bar. Luckily, the guys over at Gizmodo managed to get it from someone who found it in a bar. So here what they discovered; according to them, the device comes with a number of new features and several changes which include:

New features

  • A front-facing camera
  • Improved camera on the back with a larger lens
  • Camera flash
  • Micro-SIM cards instead of the standard SIM. (like the iPad)
  • Improved display, possibly 960 x 460 resolution
  • Something that looks like a secondary microphone, possibly for noise cancellation
  • Split buttons for volume
  • Power, mute and volume buttons are all mettalic

  • The back is entirely flat, possibly made from glass or something ceramic
  • An aluminum border going completely around the outside
  • Slightly smaller screen than the 3GS, but apparently higher resolution
  • Square-ish design
  • 3 grams heavier
  • Reduced internal component size to accommodate larger battery

Unfortunately, there’s no info on when this prototype will go into mass production. See more pictures after the break.
