Apple To Recall iPod MP3 Players in South Korea

The South Korean government has forced the U.S. computer giant Apple to recall the first generation iPod nano over concerns that the battery can overheat, leading to fires. Over the past five years, there have been 46 instances where batteries overheated or exploded, according to government statistics. For your info, the first generation iPod nano’s battery is a lithium-ion version, which is the same kind in your cellphone right now. [KoreanHerald]
