iBlueTube Vacuum Tube iPod Dock From Thanko

Thanko, a Japanese company, will release the iBlueTube this August. It is a docking station for iPods which uses 2 Philips “6922” vacuum tubes with a frequency of 20Hz – 30kHz – 80db which delivers an output of 12W x 2 ch. This iPod dock also features AV outputs for viewing the iPod’s videos on TVs. The included speakers deliver 12 watts of power. The iBlueTube will be available Japan this August for around $566. The unit measures 295 mm x 130 mm x 68 mm and weighs 650 grams.

Princeton Japan will release the PCK-UAV video transmitter for iPods. Using this audio/video transmitter, you just need to plug in your iPod to the PCK-UAV via the AV cable, and then turn the device on and it will start transmitting video and audio in the UHF band. You can view movies from your iPod without the hassles of cables hanging around your TV. Measuring 80 mm × 55 mm × 42 mm and weighs 65 grams, this audio/video transmitter is compatible with all devices which have an RCA output. The Princeton PCK-UAV will be available in Japan for 8000 Yen or around $ 70.

iBrella

The iBrella is a conceptual design which turns a simple iPod remote into an umbrella. The iPod is controlled by motion of the umbrella. For example, open and close for the iBrella refers to start and pause of the iPod. Furthermore, you can even select a random mode by wildly shaking the iBrella in the air.

Memorex will be releasing their iFlip video player that connects to the 5th generation iPod. This video player will allow iPod users to view their videos on a better screen. The 8.4 inch screen is a great size to watch high quality movies as apposed to the 2.5 inch screen. With Memorex’s iFlip, the S-video out can connect to an even bigger screen. The iFlip is available this September for $200.

iHome has released two new portable speaker systems for iPod, the iHome iH31 and iH19. The iHome iH31 is a boom box for iPod shuffle which delivers rich dynamic sound and its portable design allows carrying the system anywhere you go. It has charging capabilities for both iPod and iPod shuffle. Furthermore, these $130 iPod speakers are also feature FM radio, Aux/MP3 line-in jack, and a remote control. It comes in two color options; Silver and White. iHome iH19 is a water resistant stereo speaker that features two stereo speakers, space for storing an iPod and allows you to listen through the headphones and speakers. Moreover, these iPod speakers feature a lightweight design and come with brackets to attach the case to a bike, stroller or other equipment. It goes on sale for $80.
